Admissions Procedures

Saint Marguerite Catholic School invites you to see what they have to offer to ensure it will be the right fit for your child.

For students applying to Preschool, Pre-Kindergarten through Grade 8, three steps are needed in order to complete the application process: 

  1. Tour (by appointment)
  2. Complete an Admissions Application
  3. Evaluation of applicant’s readiness, if applicable for grades K-8

The following items must be received prior to scheduling your child's evaluation and for their application to be considered complete. Please remember that applicants applying to our Preschool Program must be 3 years of age and potty-trained; Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten programs must be 4 or 5 years of age, respectively, by September 1, 2018.

  • Submit Admissions Application 
  • Provide a copy of applicant's Birth Certificate
  • Current Immunization Record 
  • Recent Report Card and Standardized Testing Results (if applicable)
  • Copy of Baptismal Record (if Catholic) - Not required for Non-Catholic applicants.


Once the application is complete and has been received, you may be contacted by the Main Office to schedule a time for your child to come in and complete an evaluation. Saint Marguerite Catholic School staff will administer all portions of the evaluation.

For Pre-Kindergarten

Applicants will be evaluated as a group (or individually if necessary) for social, emotional and academic readiness as determined by our staff. During this time, parents will meet with Saint Marguerite Catholic School administration.

For Kindergarten – 8th Grade

Applicants will be assessed on concepts that may include phonemic awareness, reading readiness or proficiency, math concepts, and writing skills.

Continued Enrollment

To enroll for next year, returning and new students must complete the Admissions Application below.

*NOTE: Applications are accepted all year. If the grade is full you will be placed on a waitlist.

If you, your spouse or any adult or juvenile living in your home is listed or has ever been listed on the National Sex Offender Public Registry, you and/or the adult sex offender are required to contact the principal or pastor immediately upon submitting an enrollment application in any diocesan school or parish sponsored program.
