Unfortunately, tuition alone does not cover the costs of educating our students at Saint Marguerite Catholic School. The cost of living is continually rising and people have less money available to contribute so now is the time for us to do the easy things we can to support our school.

Please take time to read through the following pages to learn how to take advantage of these opportunities. Remember to tell grandparents, aunts, uncles and neighbors of the ways they can contribute. There are many ways to support Saint Marguerite Catholic School. Saint Marguerite Catholic School is a 503 (c) tax organization so gifts are tax-deductible as allowable by law.
Unrestricted Cash Gifts
The most straightforward giving option, cash provides immediate support for Saint Marguerite Catholic School, its programs, projects, and future plans.
Volunteer
Saint Marguerite Catholic School welcomes volunteer assistance from the members of our wonderful community. There are many ways you can help. Throughout the school year we have daily projects, and several events that require volunteers. If you are able to donate your time, funds, or supplies, please contact the school office.
Parent Volunteers
Volunteering is essential to the mission of this school. All families are expected to volunteer and support the overall mission of the school and parish. Every family is expected to serve 30 hours per year. This service not only demonstrates the important of education to students, but also gives them a model of service to emulate.

Planned Giving & Endowment
Bequests, Wills & Endowments
Perhaps the most simple and common way of making a planned gift is through a will. A bequest in a will can take the form of a fixed amount of money, a percentage of an estate, a specific asset, a trust, or the naming of an organization such as Saint Marguerite Catholic School as a contingent beneficiary
A financial endowment is a transfer of money or property donated to an institution. The total value of an institution’s investments is often referred to as the institution’s endowment and is typically organized as a public charity, private foundation, or trust. Among the institutions that commonly manage an endowment are: academic institutions (e.g., colleges, universities, private schools), cultural institutions (e.g., museums, libraries, theaters, hospitals) and religious establishments.
An endowment may come with stipulations regarding its usage. In some circumstances an endowment may be required to be spent in a certain way or alternatively invested, with the principal to remain intact in perpetuity or for a defined time period. This allows for the donation to have an impact over a longer period of time than if it were spent all at once.

Macey's School Cents
The Macey’s School Cents program is a way to generate fundraising dollars for Saint Marguerite Catholic School. Simply sign up for a Macey’s Perk Account and link Saint Marguerite School to your Perks account to actively donate every time you shop at Macey’s and use your Perks account. Macey’s will automatically donate a percentage of qualifying purchases back to the school.
To link your Perk’s account you must:
- Log in to their Macey’s Perks account at maceys.com/perks
- Select “Nonprofits” tab
- Press the select button next to Saint Marguerite School to link your account
- It states each year all linked accounts will be cleared, all accounts were cleared April 1, 2017. Please repeat this process every year if you would like to continue to support us with Macey’s School Cents.
Box Tops For Education
Box Tops for Education is another easy way to earn money for Saint Marguerite Catholic School. Look for the “Box Tops For Education” logos on General Mills, Ziploc, Hefty, Kleenex, Scott, Cottonelle, Betty Crocker and a variety of other snack products. All you need is your phone! Download the Box Tops app, shop as you normally would, then use the app to scan your store receipt within 14 days of purchase. The app will identify Box Tops products on your receipt and automatically credit your school’s earnings online.
